What do you get when you combine a bearded grafter, a Gibson guitar, and a writer who can tug even the most stubborn of heartstrings in a lonely pub?

 

You get Joe Johnson.

Joe has always loved writing and performing.  7 years ago, Joe began sharing his music, honing his skills on the streets of the South Coast and local pubs. As a testament to his hard work, Joe was invited to perform at a variety of festivals, most notably, the Victorious Festival.

Inspired by the likes of Stu Larsen and Passenger, Joe combines his love for words with simple melodies, backed by his trusty guitar as he creates the most heart-warming songs.

​In 2020, after hearing Joe's breakthrough single "Too blind", he was approached by Mayfield Records who signed him on the spot after a live performance. 

​

Since teaming up with Mayfield, Joe has released 9 singles and 1 EP, that have warmed the hearts of a global audience. Joe has been a regularly feature on shows including BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Solent, Soho Radio, Flash FM and Portsmouth’s very own Express FM. His singles "Too Blind", "Key To My Smile" and "Promise" have hit Top 10 in the local music charts.

Joe's audio producer "Samhain Carter-Brazier" has worked with the likes of "Frank Turner, Bars & Melody and also producing "The lottery Winners" official UK No:1 album. 

​

 

Joe has performed in an incredible number of charities and  festivals, and even serenaded global superstars James Bay, Rhys Lewis and Mumford and Sons ,who are all keen to see him grow.
